Here are some screenshots of the iPhone 4.0 developer preview.  I haven’t fully synced up, but this is what I have seen so far.  Check it out!

I am looking forward to running through the SDK and developing some amazing apps!

Folders have now taken my 200 apps and condensed them to 3 screens. Fantastic! And the notifications for apps in that folder will be an exclamation point on the folder.

Tap on the folder and you get a pop-up to see the apps inside.

You can choose if you want merged mailbox view, or each individual mailbox.

Location services has an area for allowing location turned on for apps

Accessibility- Triple click can do B&W or Voice-over text

Camera roll showed icons for faces (if my watermark doesn't ruin the shot)

Camera roll showed icons for faces... and then Places (bug?)

Wallpapers- a smattering come as default

Regular Wallpaper

Wallpapers- now you can choose between Home, Lock, or Both

Arrows for location based services are all the same

Select which account to send mail from

Now text is available in video podcasts

In-line red underline for mis-spelled words

Click on the underlined word to get spelling suggestions

Other things I noticed:

  • Browser seems faster (I don’t know why)
  • Location icon in maps is now the arrow, rather than just the scope target (image to come)
  • iTunes doesn’t sync the folders yet in the Apps tab.  I am sure that will be coming.
  • SSL VPN not in this version yet
  • Pop-up notifications are still the same… argh

I will keep you updated with anything new that I find.
