Google’s fading home page

Posted on 09. Dec, 2009 by zevmo in Browser

If you are like me, you have been wondering what the hell is going on with Google’s home page fading in the text (see video below).  I am one for experiments, but does this make much sense?

I think just about everyone knows that Google is a search engine (hopefully), and I thought maybe it was to save somehow on data by seeing if someone goes directly to the search area it wouldn’t load the text… nope. So there must be a back-end advantage somehow. Dynamic loading for on-demand material, or something.  Perhaps something to do with Android or Chromium.

Who knows.  I guess, with Google, the internet is a stage, and we are merely the players.
